Northlight Psychology

School & Trust Services

With the national increase of SEND and inclusion needs over recent years, it can be hard for schools and Multi-Academy Trusts (MATs) to secure the educational psychology support that their pupils and staff need.

From family-school consultations, individual assessments, and therapeutic support for pupils, to supervision for high demand roles such as senior leaders, SENCOs and safeguarding leads, staff training and school-wide development (see our consultancy services). Our work provides clear, evidence-based strategies that help staff, families, and young people thrive.

High-quality educational psychology support for schools, MATs, and families.

How Northlight Psychology can help:

Consultation that makes a difference:

We work alongside staff, families, and professionals to co-produce practical support plans that help pupils thrive and give schools a clear way forward.

Comprehensive psychological assessments:

Clear, evidence-based recommendations to understand a pupil’s needs and strengthen EHCP applications, supporting staff and families in meeting the needs of children and young people.

Cognitive assessments for access arrangements:

Provide the evidence schools need to secure fair exam access and ensure pupils’ abilities are recognised.

Targeted therapeutic support:

CBT-informed approaches to help children and young people manage anxiety, low mood, and other emerging mental health needs so they can re-engage with learning and life in the school community.

Supervision that supports staff wellbeing:

Safe, structured sessions for senior leaders, SENCOs, and safeguarding staff to reflect, problem-solve, and build resilience in demanding roles.

Training that sticks:

Bespoke, interactive training for staff, governors, and parents across a range of topics relevant to inclusion in schools. These sessions are designed to be informative and practical.

How It Works:
Packages & Pricing
We organise our time with schools & trusts into sessions.
One session = Four hours (half a day).
Work includes direct work in a school/MAT and admin time (such as report writing) outside.
Work is billed per session.

Frequently Asked Questions
A session is 4 hours of work. It’s easiest to think of it as half a day. However, this time does not all have to be spent in school, as it includes administrative work, such as report writing and preparatory work.
Reports will be completed and shared with schools and families within 28 days of the final visit/assessment with a child.
Yes. If there is availability, you can add extra sessions to your package at any time. The price of those sessions will depend on your new total. For example, if you buy 8 sessions (the Regular Plan) and later add another 8, your total rises to 16 sessions. Because this moves you into the Partnership Plan (13+ sessions), all additional sessions above 12 sessions will be charged at the lower Partnership rate.
