About Northlight Psychology

I started Northlight Psychology to provide schools access to a high quality educational psychology service. The growth of Northlight Psychology has been nurtured through relationships with schools and multi-academy trusts, and remains central to all the work we do.

Northlight Psychology is committed to collaborative, face-to-face work with schools and organisations working with children and young people and families. Our services are practical, evidence-based, and tailored to the needs of each setting.

Working directly with children and families is an important part of our work. However, the most effective way that Northlight Psychology can help children and young people thrive in education is by supporting and equipping the adults who work with them every day.

Northlight Psychology is founded on the principle that education has the potential to transform a person’s life. We support schools and education providers in their essential and life-changing mission to provide all children and young people with the best possible start in life. Relationships and good communication lie at the heart of our work and values:
Two hands gently fist bumping against a soft, blurred background. The gesture conveys a sense of friendship, unity, and connection.

People first:

The well-being, voice and dignity of every child, family and professional is prioritised in all our work.

Collaborative practice:

We work with schools, families and professionals to co-create understanding and practical, lasting solutions.

Insight & evidence-informed:

We draw upon multi-disciplinary research and psychological expertise to help schools navigate complex needs with clarity and confidence.

Connected thinking:
We look at the whole picture: the relationships and systems that shape children’s lives to help schools strengthen support around pupils, families and staff.
